Kathleen Ann "Kathy" Wiesner, age 74, of Ellis, Kansas, passed away with her loving family by her side on August 3, 2026, at the Good Samaritan Society in Ellis. She was born August 22, 1951, in Hays, Kansas, to Joseph and Margaret (Ruder) Wiesner.
Kathy graduated from Ellis High School in 1969 and enjoyed a successful career as an Administrative Assistant for many years. A woman of deep faith, Kathy was a devoted member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ellis. She had an enthusiastic spirit and enjoyed participating in bowling, golf, and co-ed softball. Family was always at the center of Kathy's heart. She cherished time spent together, whether playing lively games of Durak, being a loving aunt, or selflessly serving as the caretaker for her parents.
Kathy is survived by her brothers, Bernie Wiesner and wife Mary Alice of Mountain Home, Arkansas, and James Wiesner and wife Gwen of Great Bend, Kansas; her sisters, Mary Frances Bauer of Wichita, Kansas, and Laura Schoenberger and husband Bernie of Ellis, Kansas; as well as numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Margaret Wiesner; her brothers, Leonard, Harold, Tommy, and Greg Wiesner; and her sister, Jeanie Keller.
Memorial visitation will be held on Friday, August 14, 2026, starting at 10:00 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Ellis, with the Rosary service beginning at 10:30 AM.
Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM, with inurnment directly after at the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to St. Mary's School or St. Mary's Church.
