Purpose: The Sunny Day Snack Sack is a fun, child-centered summer engagement program designed to provide a healthy snack, encourage outdoor exploration, and help address childhood food insecurity in our community.
Many children lose access to school meals during the summer months even though they are offered in our community through our school district.
The Sunny Day Snack Sack provides a nutritious snack while creating an opportunity for fun, learning and connection. Each sack contains a simple lunch and interactive activities that inspire children to unplug, explore nature and create lasting summer memories.
Sponsors that are covering the cost of the snack sacks each week: McIntyre Plumbing, Heating, & Air, Women Who Lead, Define Design & Remodel, Lunch on Lincoln, Golden Plains Credit Union, and Gary and Mary Ann Shorman
