What's the best way to eat a scone? Hot from your own oven!
Learn the basics of making these teatime treats from Cathy Drabkin of Cathy's Breads at 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 2 at the Hays Public Library.
Cathy will demonstrate her techniques and tips for mixing, shaping and baking scones, as well as bring samples of both sweet and savory scones to taste test. Recipes will be provided so you can practice at home.
Established in 2013, Cathy's Breads is a home-based micro bakery offering from-scratch artisan style breads, fine-crafted pastries, and unique sweets, using locally sourced organic flours, natural ingredients, and time-honored methods.
A weekly menu is posted on the Cathy's Breads website (cathysbreads.com) every Saturday morning throughout the school year.
